Galactic Santa Claus, Gamescom News, And Kommander K Rool! | The Scoop

GOOSE
I mean, the scoop jacket is great and all but what about a scoop cape? It’s more..swishy
y’know… No? Alright then. Ok, it’s time for The Scoop! First up, Real Madrid’s official IRL club
store is apparently selling Alex Hunter jerseys. Fictional player Alex Hunter is the star character
in FIFA’s single-player campaign, The Journey. Now, it appears he has his own jersey alongside
real life non-fictional players. The response amongst the team’s fans is a bit mixed does
Hunter really deserve a jersey if he isn’t a real Re-al player? Next, a No Man’s Sky player has been giving
away stasis devices to random players. A stasis device is one of the game’s most expensive
items, worth around 18 million credits. Some are referring to the generous player, known
as Long Nose Jim, as some sort of galactic Santa Claus. So Merry Spacemas, I guess! Moving on and some early concept designs and
details of Donkey Kong villain King K Rool have emerged. In light of King K Rool’s recent
addition to the Super Smash Bros Ultimate line up, Rare employee Gregg Mayles revealed
some of the early sketches of the reptilian baddie as well as his original name: Krudd.
Apparently, King K Rool could have also been called Kommander K Rool and Donkey Kong Country
could have been called Monkey Mayhem! Now that is some monkey business. Finally, Gamescom, the biggest gaming conference
in Europe, kicked off earlier this week in Cologne, Germany. So far we’ve heard a bit
more about the Sea of Thieves Forsaken Shores update due out in September, Forza Horizon
4 will have a team adventure mode, and the upcoming Ori and the Will of the Wisps will
get a competitive mode known as Spirit Trials. Ahead of the conference, Nintendo also announced
a bunch of indie games coming to the Switch, like the colourful 3D shooter Morphies Law
and a Spawnling favourite Terraria. And now for the Extra Scoop! This week, a
journey through the evolution of video game themes by a very well-dressed pianist known
as Vinheteiro . He plays themes from Pacman to Tetris. to Super Mario Bros Zelda Sonic
Angry Bird Undertale Cuphead and more. He also stares intensely at you which only adds
to the fun. And if you have an Extra Scoop you’d like
to share, let us know here I guess the jacket is a little swishy. No,
it’s just not the same.
