How to replace front anti roll bar link / front drop link on TOYOTA AYGO 1 (AB10) [TUTORIAL AUTODOC]


Required tools:
Wire brush
WD-40 spray
Brake cleaner
Copper grease Combination spanner #12
Impact socket №12
Wheel impact socket #19
Ratchet wrench Torque wrench
Hydraulic transmission jack
Crow bar
Wheel chock 1. Raise the front of the car and secure on supports. 2. Unscrew the wheel bolts.
Use wheel impact socket #19. AUTODOC recommends:
To avoid injury, hold up the wheel when unscrewing the bolts. 3. Clean the stabiliser link fasteners.
Use a wire brush.
Use WD-40 spray. 4. Unscrew the fastener connecting the stabilizer link to the stabilizer bar. Use a combination spanner #12. 5. Unscrew the fastener connecting the stabilizer bar with the control arm.
Use a combination spanner #12. Use a drive socket #12.
Use a ratchet wrench. 6. Remove the stabilizer rod.
Use a crowbar. AUTODOC recommends:
Examine stabiliser bushes. Replace them if needed. 7. Clean the stabiliser link fasteners.
Use a wire brush.
Use WD-40 spray. 8. Install a new rod, tighten the fasteners. 9. Support the arm.
Use a hydraulic transmission jack. 10. Tighten the fastener connecting the stabilizer bar with the control arm.
Use a combination spanner #12. Use a drive socket #12.
Use a torque wrench.
Tighten it to 35 Nm torque. 11. Tighten the fastener connecting the stabilizer link to the stabilizer bar.
Use a drive socket #12. Use a torque wrench.
Tighten it to 35 Nm torque. 12. Remove the support from under the arm. AUTODOC recommends:
Lower the hydraulic transmission jack smoothly, without jerks, to avoid damaging assemblies and mechanisms. 13. Treat all joints of the stabiliser link.
Use copper grease. 14. Treat the surface where the brake disc contacts the wheel rim.
Use copper grease. 15. Clean the wheel rim mounting seat.
Use a brake cleaner. AUTODOC recommends:
After applying the spray, wait a few minutes. 16. Screw in the wheel bolts.
Use wheel impact socket #19. AUTODOC recommends:
To avoid injury, hold up the wheel when screwing in the fastening bolts. 17. Lower the car and working in a cross order, tighten the wheel bolts. Use a torque wrench.
Tighten it to 120 nm torque.
